The Refreshed 2019 Ford Everest is Arriving First Week August

Mark your calendars: the refreshed Ford Everest is finally dropping in on the first week of August. After a false alarm last December and a lengthy delay heading to the market, the Philippines will finally receive the updated form of Ford’s 7-seater SUV.

We have already covered the Thailand version of the refreshed 2019 Everest, so you can read it here. But to recap:

• It will likely get the bi-turbo 2.0-liter diesel engine also found in the Ranger Wildtrak and Ranger Raptor. In this guise, it makes 213 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. 
• Lower-end variants will use the single-turbo version of the engine with 180 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque.
• The transmission will be a 10-speed automatic.
• Based on the single teaser photo sent by Ford Philippines, Diffused Gold Silver Metallic, a new shade will be on offer.
• Aside from a new color, the 2019 Everest will be differentiated by a new grille, refreshed front bumper, and new alloy wheel designs. 
• Higher-trim models will also gain LED headlights (replacing the current HIDs).
• Inside, it remains more or less the same except for the addition of a gear shift-mounted manual override, one-touch power windows for all passengers, a smart key with push-button start/stop, and a foot-activated hands-free tailgate.
• It will also get Autonomous Emergency Braking or AEB. This is an upgrade from the Forward Collision Warning which will only warn the driver of an impending collision. AEB will use its radar and monocular front camera to automatically apply the brakes if the driver does not intervene. 
• Other safety features include 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, Rollover Mitigation, Auto High Beam Control, Driver Alert System, Tire Pressure Monitoring, Front and Rear Parking Sensors with rear camera, Blind Spot Information System, and Active Park Assist.
• No pricing has been announced yet, but expect a hike of P 50,000 based on its pricing in Thailand.
