The Ford Ranger Scores Best Quarterly Sales Performance Ever
Ford Philippines announced the tally of its second quarter sales this year. The American carmaker says they have sold 5,667 vehicles, driven by an all-time record quarterly performance of the Ranger pickup truck.
Second quarter retail sales for the Ranger rose 25 percent to a record 3,694 vehicles, driving its year-to-date total up 25 percent to 6,836 vehicles.
“The Ranger remains one of the country’s most preferred pickup trucks, and continues to set the benchmark for the segment with its versatility, capability, power, and class-leading driver assist technologies,” said PK Umashankar, managing director, Ford Philippines.
Meanwhile, the Everest 7-seater SUV managed to move 1,274 units in the second quarter, pushing its year-to-date sales to 2,919 vehicles. The EcoSport meanwhile delivered second quarter sales of 487 units, driving its year-to-date sales to 1,020 units.
The rest of Ford Philippines’s line-up, composed of the Explorer, Expedition, and Mustang delivered the remaining 212 units.
