Someone is Selling His 2020 Toyota GR Supra for P 5.35 million
You want that 2020 Toyota GR Supra now? Like right now? Well, that’s going to cost you. With limited supply and big hype, gorging would-be buyers was bound to happen; but no one expected it to happen less than 24 hours after its Philippine unveil. But happen it did.
In the Facebook group, “JDM tayo Paps :)” someone who goes by the name of “Gnimras Ikir” is selling his slot to a 2020 Toyota GR Supra. The cost to get ahead of everyone else is a cool P 350,000. The listing, which we posted below details that the P 350,000 fee is simply for him to transfer his slot to another interested GR Supra buyer. The rest of the P 5 million (we suspect that in reality, it’s the P 4,990,000) is paid once the unit arrives. What’s more confusing? He claims that his unit is already in the Philippines—a day after its official launch! This is contradictory to the 4 to 5 months of waiting time that Toyota Motor Philippines said.
In his Facebook profile, Gnimras Ikir (aka Ricky Lou Sarming) says he is a luxury car agent/data analyst/sales executive/store supervisor.
Given the GR Supra’s high-profile nature, we asked Toyota Motor Philippines to confirm if Mr. Sarming is indeed the country’s first-ever customer, and if selling his slot to another buyer might have violated any part of his sales or reservations agreement.
