Peugeot Transforms the 3008 Into An Off-Road Adventure Machine
The Peugeot 3008 may not be the first SUV you had in mind for an off-road adventure in muddy trails or deep forests; after all, it’s solely available in front-wheel drive. But, that didn’t stop the folks over at Peugeot who transformed one example into a unique go-anywhere model.
Based off the 1.6-liter GT Line, this one-of-a-kind 3008 gets subtle all-terrain enhancements. Grippy Cooper AT3 off-road tires are fitted to its purposeful 17-inch steel wheels and underbody protection is boosted by a front skid plate.
A powerful LED light bar at the front of the Rival aluminum roof rack provides additional illumination when driving on unmarked roads and, when it’s time to stop, drivers can spend the night camping on top of the 3008 in a fully retractable ARB Simpson roof tent.
The one-off model is finished in a unique wrap and fitted with a bicycle rack – perfect for carrying a Peugeot trail bike for two-wheeled adventures.
Using Advanced Grip Control technology, the 3008 saves weight over conventional all-wheel drive systems. Using one of five driving modes, it optimizes traction of the front wheels.
The special Peugeot 3008 SUV successfully tackled the northern section of the iconic Ho Chi Minh trail in Vietnam.
