Fake Wheels Cause Dramatic Accident

There’s a post circulating on social media (we have embedded the post below) of a dramatic vehicular accident in Surigao caused by the wheel spokes sheering off. According to Black Rhino Philippines’s Sam Liuson, the wheels on the vehicles are clearly fake.

According to Liuson, despite carrying the Black Rhino logo, the quickest way to identify this set as fake is that this particular design, Diamante does not come in the gold-bronze finish as seen in the photos. Furthermore, the specific finish is not easily achieved by repainting, and can only be done in a factory for mass production.

Liuson reiterates that original Black Rhino Wheels come with stringent quality control testing and certification that passes U.S. and Japan standards such as the DOT and JWL-T.

Counterfeit wheels may bare these identifications but may not have undergone actual testing.

Black Rhino Wheels Philippines would like to warn the public to only buy original Black Rhino Wheels from authorized dealers, such as the Concept One Wheels main showroom located at 318 Santolan Road, San Juan or at the Black Rhino Outlet Store in Overland Kings, Paranaque.

Black Rhino Wheels Philippines is also asking would-be buyers to send a photo of the set of wheels they intend to purchase either via mobile phone (+63 917 880 1111) or Facebook page to verify their authenticity. They also urge the public to report stores selling counterfeit Black Rhino wheels.
