Looking for a great deal on a diesel-powered compact SUV? Well, how does a brand-new Mazda CX-5 AWD that is more affordable than a Honda CR-V Diesel sound?
While the price reduction is temporary, from now until January 31, 2020, the Mazda CX-5 2.2L Diesel AWD Sport gets its price reduced by P 150,000. This brings the price of Mazda’s top-tier compact SUV to just P 2,080,000 or P 58,000 cheaper than the Honda CR-V SX AWD (SRP is P 2,138,000).
While the discount applies to cash buyers, options for financing buyers are also available, subject to the approval of partner bank, BPI.
The Mazda CX-5 comes with generous power and torque thanks to its 175-horsepower, 420 Nm of torque 2.2-liter Skyactiv-D diesel engine. This revolutionary low compression ratio diesel engine, known for its impressive NVH isolation and real-world fuel efficiency is mated to a 6-speed automatic with cruise control. Mazda’s predictive i-ACTIV AWD system comes standard as well.
The CX-5 also comes well-loaded for its price with features including adaptive LED headlights and front fog lights, rain-sensing wipers, 19-inch alloy wheels, sunroof, power tailgate, leather upholstery, wood grain paneling, power front seats with a two-setting memory for the driver, and a 10-speaker Bose sound system. For safety, it has 6 SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability control, blind spot indicators with cross traffic alert, and lane keep assist.
And like other Mazda models, the CX-5 comes with Yojin-3—a 3-year free preventive maintenance service (PMS) package, that’s worth at least P 60,000.
