Hummer is Coming Back as an EV with 15,591 Nm of Torque
Hummer is coming back. After becoming the poster child of America’s insatiable demand for large, gas-thirsty SUVs, it’s now turning a new leaf. Now, it’ll be General Motor’s GMC division’s first all-electric truck.
The GMC Hummer will be fully revealed in May of this year, but before that they did reveal the truck’s bold grille along with some key specs: 1,000 horsepower, 15,591 Nm of torque, and a 0-100 km/h time of around 3 seconds. All of these metrics delivered with zero tailpipe emissions and vastly reduced noise.
It’ll be built at General Motor’s Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant in Michigan.
