This is Our Official Look at the 2020 Mirage and Mirage G4 (w/ 15 Photos)

After a short tease, Mitsubishi Motors has finally revealed the updated 2020 Mirage hatchback and Mirage G4 (Attrage) sedan. Both models display the brand’s signature Dynamic Shield design and will be introduced first in Thailand this November with other markets to follow.

The 2020 Mirage and Mirage G4 features an entirely new front-end that makes it look wider than its most immediate predecessor. The multi-bulb LEDs visually connect to the new, enlarged grille while the front fog lamps have been moved to the bumper corners for a more planted stance. At the back, it gets new L-shaped LED combination lamps and a more angular bumper. New 15-inch alloy wheels, with a two-tone diamond-cut styling for the hatchback and high-luster silver finish for the sedan complete the changes.

For 2020, Mitsubishi has refreshed the available color palette including White Diamond that offers an added brilliance and depth. Meanwhile, exclusive to the hatchback is the new Sand Yellow.

Inside, both Mirage and Mirage G4 get a slightly refreshed interior with meter cluster and window switch panel fitted with carbon fiber-like patterns. The front arm rests also have a new design and feature soft-feel cloth. For upper trim models, the Mirage hatchback now has a sporty cloth/synthetic leather combination seating, while the Mirage G4 sedan has a monotone leather seating. Both models now offer piping and stitching on their leather seats for an added touch of premiumness. Completing the changes is a new 7-inch Smartphone Display Audio system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Mechanically, both remain unchanged for 2020. They remain powered by a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine. Equipped with MIVEC, these engines produce 78 horsepower and 100 Nm of torque. The transmission options remain a 5-speed manual or a gearless CVT.

For global markets, the Mirage and the Mirage G4 are produced in Laem Chabang, Thailand. However, because these vehicles were enrolled in the Philippine government’s CARS program, it is assembled at the Sta. Rosa, Laguna plant. These updates have been confirmed for the Philippine market models, but due to extra tooling requirements, it will take more time before they reach the market.
