Who says Volkswagens don’t play nice with tuners? Well, Volkswagen Philippines is proving these naysayers wrong by coming up with two special packages for the Lavida compact sedan: the Lavida Club Edition and the Lavida Club Edition+.
Launched to coincide with Volkswagen Philippines’s 6th anniversary, these two special packages are the German automaker’s “gifts to Volkswagen enthusiasts.” The Club Edition includes:
- Club Edition decals
- Front, side, and rear skirts
- Rear lip spoiler
- 18-inch alloy wheels
- Blaupunkt infotainment system
- Kicker speaker system
Mechanically, the Lavida retains the same 1.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine making 130 horsepower and 225 Nm of torque. Standard features include automatic climate control, cruise control, push start/stop, leather seats, and a sunroof.
The Club Edition package is available as an add on to the existing Lavida which retains its affordable P 1,171,000 retail price (in fact, for a limited time, it does come with a P 85,000 discount). The Club Edition package adds P 129,000 (SRP: 1,300,000), while the Club Edition+ adds P 179,000 (SRP: 1,350,000).
