Hyundai PH Finally Announces Warranty Extension

After being silent for half the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) period, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc., the official distributor of Hyundai vehicles is finally joining the extended warranty bandwagon.

HARI has announced that all Hyundai passenger cars whose warranties lapsed within the ECQ are extended until May 31, 2020.

“The well-being and safety of our employees and customers is our highest priority. We understand that our customers have no access to vehicle servicing during these extraordinary times. We wish to set their minds at ease by extending their warranty coverage,” HARI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo said.

This echoes a similar move worldwide where Hyundai Motor Company has announced that they are extending the warranty coverage of an estimated 1.2 million vehicles in 175 countries.

In a related development, the company said it was mobilizing support for our front liners with an initial donation of 2,500 personnel protective equipment (PPEs) to a leading public hospital. This will be followed by the distribution of PPEs to other public health facilities, and schools and churches where front liners are housed.

“We are closely monitoring COVID developments and we are one with the nation in fighting this epidemic. We are in awe and are grateful to our medical workers who are tirelessly working to protect and care for all their patients. Mabuhay kayo,” Ms. Agudo said.
