Volkswagen's New R Badge Looks Cleaner, More Progressive
With Volkswagen tweaking its corporate logo for the future, it makes sense that they’ll be doing it for their Volkswagen R brand as well. Representing the sportiest model in the portfolio, the R gets its first re-do since the German carmaker came out with it in 2002.
The new R logo symbolizes the performance brand’s fresh start. Like its corporate logo, it’s more modern, distinct, and sleek; reduced to its essential components, it can be used for various purposes, remaining particularly suitable for digital media. The new logo was developed at the Volkswagen Design Center.
The redesigned R-Line badge will be seen for the first time in the North American Atlas Cross Sport R-Line. The Atlas is known also as the Teramont, one of the SUVs which Volkswagen Philippines aims to bring into the country by the end of the year.
