Size Matters for Hyundai with Their TNVS, Modern Jeepney Offerings
Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc., the exclusive distributor of Hyundai passenger cars and commercial vehicles affirmed its support for the government’s PUV Modernization program by showing off its various models that are best-suited to solve the Filipino’s mass transport or business needs.
For TNVS (Transport Network Service), Hyundai has the all-new Reina. Marking the Korean carmaker’s return into the A-segment market, the Reina offers more space, comfort, and convenience features than its competition while also boasting better safety and fuel economy.
The same class-above strategy is applied to Hyundai’s Class 1 Modern Jeepney. Instead of being based off a multi-cab like its other competitors, Hyundai has opted to use its H-100 light truck platform instead. With that, its generous dimensions (4,500 mm in length, 1,750 mm in width, and 1,500 mm in height) can comfortably seat 13 people, including the driver. And powered by a Euro 4 compliant 2.5-liter CRDi engine, it offers better efficiency as well. Like other Modern PUVs, the Hyundai Class 1 Modern Jeepney is fitted with a cashless payment system, side-facing seats, Wi-Fi, GPS tracking, CCTV cameras, and a speed limiter.
HARI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo said: “Hyundai has worked closely with the Land Transportation Office with the goal of making our affordable and efficient mobility solutions available to the Filipinos who need them. We will continue to develop and offer vehicle options that help promote the country’s growth by getting goods and people where they need to go.”
