The 2020 Toyota Supra Gets the TRD Treatment
The Toyota Supra just launched in Japan and with it, the first batch of TRD upgrades. More of aero parts than performance upgrades, these carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) pieces do make the Supra look more aggressive than stock.
Over the front, TRD has fitted a new front splitter while at the sides, there are rocker extensions with Toyota’s trademark “sakana” stabilizer fins built in. Oddly, the side pieces actually close off the side intakes. There are also side mirror covers as well. Towards the rear, there’s a diffuser extension while at the top is a lip-style spoiler. Capping off the changes are forged 19-inch aluminum wheels.
For those planning to buy the entire TRD set for the Supra, it won’t come cheap. Prices in Japan is a whopping 2,800,000 yen or closes to P 1.34 million pesos. Given that the base Supra costs just 4,900,000 yen or P 2.35 million pesos, this appearance kit already cost half the car!
