Ayala's New Brand, Maxus, Undergoes Extensive Testing Ahead of Launch
Ahead of its Philippine market debut on June 6, the Ayala Automotive Group of AC Industrials is leaving no stone unturned as they extensively test their product offerings led by the G10 MPV.
A brand that traces its origins from the United Kingdom (LDV Maxus), Maxus is the commercial vehicle brand of SAIC Motor. Dubbed “a Chinese brand of English tradition,” its logo—a combination of three triangles represent the brand’s pillars of technology, confidence, and progress.
In a series of photos, the Maxus G10 MPV is shown being driven up to Tagaytay, Cavite to Gumaca, Quezon Province—a leg that alone spans 167 kilometers. While Maxus has remained mum about the G10 MPV’s specs, in other markets, it’s offered with two gasoline engines: a normally-aspirated 2.4-liter from Mitsubishi and a 2.0-liter turbo, or a 1.9-liter Peugeot turbo diesel.
Regardless of the final specs, the introduction of the Maxus brand into the AC Industrials portfolio means they’ll be able to beef up their commercial vehicle offering given this Chinese brand offers MPVs, vans, pickups, and body-on-frame SUVs.
