Moreover, if you purchase a Vios on or before February 29, Toyota will even throw in free Periodic Maintenance Service (PMS) for up to 20,000 kilometers!
The same free PMS program is also included in every Hilux purchase made during the Toyota Price Slash promo while all Fortuner 4x2 variants purchased until the end of the month also have the same 20,000-km free PMS.
If the Vios isn’t your thing, Toyota’s also offering discounts ranging from P 30,000 on the Hilux to P 50,000 on the Hiace as well. Plus, low all-in downpayment and monthly pay light options are available. You can check the entire table below for the deals on offer.

Here's a Closer Look at the 2019 Toyota Avanza (w/ 21 Photos)
As expected, Toyota Motor Philippines used its annual Road Trek media ride and drive to introduce the refreshed 2019 Avanza. The country’s second best-selling MPV model (the first being the Innova), the Avanza has sold over 100,000 units since 2006. Moving forward, this refreshed model aims to continue offering the best value proposition along with a sleeker, modern style.
Here are some of the highlights of the 2019 model:
- The defining design feature of the 2019 Avanza is its split-type headlamp. All models except for the base 1.3 J get LED lighting, but only the 1.5-liter models benefit from front fog lamps. The 1.5-liter models also get side mirror-mounted LED turn signal indicators and 15-inch alloy wheels. The 1.3-liter models role on 14-inch wheels with the 1.3 J being on steel ones.
- All models get the Sharks Fin type antenna.
- The 2019 model is topped by the Veloz model. It’s differentiated from the 1.5 G model with its unique front-end treatment making it slightly longer. Aside from that, it swaps the regular exterior chrome highlights for smoked chrome ones.
- All but the 1.3 J offers three rows of seats, with the second row offering a 50/50 split folding and sliding mechanism.
- Powering the 1.5-liter models is the 2NR-VE engine making 103 horsepower and 136 Nm of torque, while the 1.3-liter models get the 1NR-VE with 95 horsepower and 121 Nm of torque. The available transmissions are a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic.
- The 1.5-liter models debut a new 6.8-inch WVGA display audio system with smartphone mirroring. It can pair with 2 devices for handsfree function and 5 devices for music streaming. All 1.5-liter models also get the added convenience of steering wheel controls, but only the Veloz gets a leather steering wheel.
- All models get a tilt adjustable steering column.
- All models now get dual SRS airbags and ABS with EBD as standard. ISOFIX child seat anchors are also standard across the entire line-up, but only the 1.5-liter models get an alarm and immobilizer system.
- There’s a total of 7 colors for the 2019 Avanza, the availability of which is dependent on the grade: White, Dark Red Mica Metallic, Dark Blue Metallic, Black Metallic, Gray Metallic, Beige Metallic, and Silver Metallic.

These are the Prices, Colors, and Specs of the 2019 Toyota Avanza
UPDATE: Here are more photos of the 2019 Avanza (5/9).
A few days after Toyota Motor Philippines opened the order books on the refreshed 2019 Avanza, the small MPV has started rolling into showrooms. And as they always do, leaks start to trickle out. It turns out, Toyota will be offering the Avanza with two engines and five trim levels. Let’s check them out.
All variants this 2019 get LED headlights (except the 1.3 J), but only the 1.5-liter ones get front fog lights. The rear taillights have also been redesigned with a chrome splitting the lamps, echoing the headlight design. The archaic pillar-type antenna is now gone and in its place is a sleeker Shark’s Fin type one. The wheel designs are also new, but the sizes remain at 14-inchers for the 1.3- and 15-inchers for the 1.5-liter models. Ground clearance is lower than its sister, the Rush but at 200 millimeters, it’s actually pretty generous.
Inside, the Avanza gets new fabrics for its seats, a re-designed instrument cluster, a new audio head unit (steering wheel controls only for the 1.5-liter models), and a digital-type air conditioning display. Toyota also says added sound insulation and optimized body structure makes its quieter, while the MacPherson Strut and 4-Link Lateral Rod suspension has been tweaked for a plusher ride. As expected, dual SRS airbags and ABS with EBD are standard across the line as well.
There are two trims available for the 1.3-liter engine: the 1.3 J and 1.3 E. As its name suggests, both are powered by a 1.3-liter Dual VVT-i engine making 96 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 120 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. This engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.
Moving up to the 1.5-liter models, it’s powered by a 1.5-liter Dual VVT-i engine making 104 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 136 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. Like its smaller engined counterpart, the transmission options are also a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic.
There’s a total of 7 colors for the 2019 Avanza, the availability of which is dependent on the grade: White, Dark Red Mica Metallic, Dark Blue Metallic, Black Metallic, Gray Metallic, Beige Metallic, and Silver Metallic.
The prices are as follows:
- 1.3 J M/T – P 731,000
- 1.3 E M/T – P 864,000
- 1.3 E A/T – P 907,000
- 1.5 G M/T – P 957,000
- 1.5 G A/T – P 1,000,000
- 1.5 Veloz A/T – P 1,065,000

BREAKING NEWS: Toyota Philippines Opens 2019 Avanza Order Books
UPDATE: Here are the prices, specs, and colors (5/8).
The wait won’t be long for the refreshed Toyota Avanza to arrive. In a Facebook teaser post, Toyota Motor Philippines has confirmed that they have opened the order books on their venerable body-on-frame sub-compact 7-seater.
You can check the post out yourself here, but in gist, Toyota has yet to give the compete deets on the specs and features of the 2019 Avanza. However, they did say it will have at least 3 variants: the 1.3 J, 1.3 E, and the Veloz 1.5 G. They also mentioned that the starting price for the 2019 model is at P 731,000—a 2 percent increase over the 2018 model. Projecting that increase throughout the 2018 Avanza line-up, expect the Veloz 1.5 to top out at P 1,086,000.
In terms of specifications, it’s expected that the 2019 Avanza will retain the 1.3- or 1.5-liter Dual VVT-i motor cranking out 97 horsepower and 104 horsepower respectively, while transmission options remain a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. Despite the carryover mechanicals, the new Avanza is expected to be quieter thanks to more sound insulation than before.
It’s also likely that Toyota Motor Philippines will continue its safety leadership with the Avanza and may equip it with dual SRS airbags, ABS, and ISOFIX childseat anchors across the line. The Veloz 1.5 G may even get the added benefit of stability control.
As for launch plans, an educated guess is that Toyota may opt to continue the precedent set at Toyota’s annual media Road Trek ride and drive. Given that they’ve launched refreshed models then, the 2019 Avanza will likely drop in for a “hi” this May with start of sales to commence soon after that.
Of course, if you want to get ahead of the cue, you can reserve the 2019 Avanza even before its official launch at any of the authorized Toyota dealerships nationwide.
