Maxus Serves Elderly, PWDs with New Assist Package for G10 MPV (w/ Video)

Barely three months into the market, Maxus Philippines is catering to one unserved need among families, especially those living with PWDs or the elderly with their new Assist package for their G10 MPV.

Utilizing the versatility and space of its Maxus G10, the G10 Assist replaces the conventional second-row seat nearest the sliding door into one that swivels to face the sidewalk. Moreover, thanks to a built-in motor, it slides out and can be lowered down to street level making it easier for the elderly or wheelchair-bound people to take their seat or disembark.

And in a clever move that will please high-tech owners, the swivel-lifting seat is programmable either via a remote control or even through a mobile phone app. It even has a position memory function, path recover function, path obstacle sensor, door interlock, low-power detection and warning, mechanical manual function, and anti-tip protection (see it in action below).

Of note, this is different from the Maxus G10 PWD-friendly variant seen in other countries which removes the rear-most seats to fit in the wheelchair and ramp.

The G10 is Maxus’s flagship MPV and for that it comes with a Euro-4 compliant 1.9-liter turbodiesel engine making 150 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. Mated to a 6-speed automatic, it promises to be powerful yet fuel efficient.

In terms of amenities, it has four Captain’s Seats, power adjustable seat for the driver and front passenger, a 7-inch infotainment system with USB and Bluetooth, a 220-volt outlet, and dual air conditioning. It also meets global safety standards and comes with 4 airbags, 3-point seat belts for all passengers, and proximity sensors on all four corners with a rear camera at the back.

For a more convenient ownership experience, the Maxus G10 comes with a PMS interval of the first 5,000 kilometers and every succeeding 10,000 kilometers (or once a year) after that. It has a 3-year/100,000-kilometer warranty, 24/7 emergency roadside assistance, a pick-up and delivery service for PMS, and an on-site servicing for corporate fleet accounts.

The Maxus G10 is still being offered at a special price of P 1,680,000. The Assist package adds an additional P 399,800, bringing up the price to P 2,079,800. It’s small price to pay to give back mobility to the elderly and wheelchair-bound family members.

Maxus Philippines to Offer PWD-Friendly Version of the G10 MPV

Maxus Philippines is making mobility inclusive for everyone, especially for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) that they’re introducing a new variant of their G10 MPV for that very purpose.

Ayala Automotive’s newest brand will showcase a special variant of the G10 MPV that offers easy, quick, and independent wheelchair access with availability starting in September.

Based on units available elsewhere, this special G10 MPV allows wheelchair users to independently board and alight the vehicle quickly. Wheelchair users can simply use the manual incline ramp to push or be pushed into the vehicle to join other passengers. The ramp then folds conveniently into the back of the G10. Seating is a standard five, but it can grow to eight if the ramp is stowed away.

Before that though, during the 3-day Transport & Logistics Philippines 2019, Maxus will be displaying its full line-up to coincide with their special lowdown payment promo which runs until the end of August.

During this period, the Maxus G10 is available at an introductory price of P 1.680 million, with a low-down payment of P 129,000, while the Maxus V80 Comfort’s down payment is at P 119,000 and a suggested retail price (SRP) of P 1.570 million, and the Maxus V80 Flex down payment is at P 99,000 with an SRP of P 1.190 million.

All Maxus vehicles come with a preventive maintenance service (PMS) interval schedule of the first 5,000 kms and every succeeding 10,000 kms, or once a year, whichever comes first. This is more convenient and more cost-efficient compared to the industry-standard 5,000-km PMS interval. The general warranty is 3 years or 100,000 kms, whichever comes first. Maxus Philippines also offers a 24/7 emergency roadside assistance, a pick-up and delivery service for customers, and on-site servicing for corporate fleet accounts.

Ayala Automotive Brings Maxus to Philippine Market with Prices Starting at P 1.190M (w/ Brochure)

AC Industrials, an Ayala Company adds a new automotive brand to its portfolio: Maxus. The commercial vehicle brand with British origins, Maxus finally arrives after its vehicles were spotted doing extensive testing around the country. Initially, they are bringing in the G10 family MPV and the V80 van.

As the sixth brand under the AC Industrials’ wing which includes Honda, Isuzu, Volkswagen, Kia, and KTM, Maxus is the commercial vehicle brand of SAIC Motor—the world’s tenth largest automotive company. The logo, a combination of three triangles represent the brand’s pillars of technology, confidence, and progress.

The Maxus V80 van comes in three versions starting with the V80 Flex. Designed primarily as a light-duty commercial vehicle, the 3-seater V80 Flex features a cargo space of 6.9 cubic meters and a payload capacity of 1.1 tons. With dual rear swing doors and a single side sliding door, it can load and unload cargo with ease.

For those looking to haul people more than cargo, there’s the V80 Transport and V80 Comfort. The former, features an 18-seater configuration while the latter has 13 seats. Regardless, both of these models boast of space and convenience making trips, no matter how long, more comfortable.

All V80 models come powered by a 2.5-liter CRDi engine with 136 horsepower and 330 Nm of torque. Meeting Euro 4 emissions requirements, they are available solely with a 6-speed manual. All models also benefit from dual SRS airbags, and ABS with EBD. The high-trim Comfort level adds an electric step board for easy ingress and rear parking sensors for improved maneuverability.

Moving up, the Maxus G10 represents the current flagship of the range. With a modern and clean look, the G10 is designed for sophisticated, yet practical Filipino families who value both comfort and style. Outside, it has dual sliding doors, 16-inch alloy wheels, and front and rear foglamps as standard.

Inside, G10 boasts of 6 Captain’s Seats (9-seater capacity in total) as well as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a rear 220-volt power supply. And with a Double Layer Welding Technology, ABS with EBD, and front and rear parking sensors with reverse camera, it makes for one safe family ride.

Powering the G10 is a Peugeot-sourced 1.9-liter CRDi engine making 150 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. Also Euro 4 compliant, it’s mated to a 6-speed automatic making it a truly convenient drive. Furthermore, it gets front and rear disc brakes as well as a comfort-oriented suspension with front MacPherson Struts and rear five-link coil springs.
